Hello, my dear grandchildren! Let me tell you a story, the story of how our Abuelito Cheese began. It was a sunny May 15th, 1997, when this grandpa, Miguel Torres, a man from Puebla with a big heart and even bigger dreams, decided to share a piece of Mexico with you. That’s how Abuelito Cheese, Inc. was born, a small but charming company dedicated to creating the most delicious Mexican-style cheeses.
Our First Location
In those early days, in a humble shop in Passaic, New Jersey, I, your grandpa, started making about 300 pounds of cheese each week. Imagine that, with my own hands and a lot of love! But thanks to your affection and support, my grandchildren, my little dream began to grow. Soon, we moved to a larger place in Paterson, New Jersey, where we still create all those delights you love so much.
The Authentic Mexican Flavor
From the very beginning, my purpose has been clear: to offer you, my grandchildren, fresh products of the highest quality, with that unmistakable and authentic Mexican flavor. And that’s what I do every day, ensuring that you receive the best from me: fresh cheeses like Queso Fresco, Requesón, the delicious Quesillo Oaxaca, Queso Cotija, the rich Crema Mexicana, and of course, meats like Carne Enchilada, Cecina, pork and beef Bistek, Chorizo, and Longaniza Mexicana.
